Information Stored Locally on Your Device
FiTech Habit Tracker stores all data locally on your device using AsyncStorage. We collect and store:
- Habit Information: Habit names, descriptions, categories, schedules, reminder times
- Completion Records: Dates and times when habits were marked as complete
- User Preferences: App theme (light/dark mode), notification settings, week start day, optional user name
- Statistics: Streak counts, completion rates (calculated from your completion data)
❌ Information We DO NOT Collect
- We do NOT collect any personal identification information
- We do NOT require account creation or login
- We do NOT access your contacts, camera, or other device features beyond notifications
- We do NOT track your location
- We do NOT share any data with third parties
- We do NOT use analytics or tracking services
- We do NOT display advertisements
How We Use Your Information
All data is stored locally on your device and is used solely to:
- Display your habits and completion history
- Calculate streaks and statistics
- Send local reminder notifications at your scheduled times
- Maintain your app preferences (theme, settings)
Data Storage and Security
- Local Storage Only: All data is stored exclusively on your device using React Native's AsyncStorage
- No Cloud Backup: We do not automatically back up your data to any cloud service
- Device Security: Your data security depends on your device's security measures (screen lock, encryption, etc.)
- App Uninstall: All data is permanently deleted when you uninstall the app
Permissions
The app requests the following permissions:

- Purpose: To send you local reminder notifications for your habits
- Usage: Notifications are created and delivered locally on your device at the times you specify
- Control: You can disable notifications in your device settings at any time
No other permissions are requested or required.
Third-Party Services
FiTech Habit Tracker does NOT integrate with any third-party services, including:
- Analytics services (Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, etc.)
- Advertising networks
- Social media platforms
- Cloud storage providers
- Payment processors
The app operates entirely offline and does not communicate with any external servers.
Children's Privacy
Our app does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The app is designed for general audiences and does not contain content specifically directed at children.
Data Retention
- Data is retained on your device until you manually delete it within the app or uninstall the app
- You can clear all data at any time through the app's Settings screen ("Clear All Data" option)
- No data is retained on our servers because we do not operate any servers

- Delete: Delete individual habits or clear all data via Settings
- Export: Currently, there is no data export feature (all data is local)
- Control: Full control over what data you create and store

- Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
- Displaying a notice in the app (for significant changes)
Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

- Loading the app from Expo servers during development (Expo Go only)
